mobile.de API covers your own ads only

One mobile.de car listing for a BMW 550 Gran Turismo with callouts for price, first registration, mileage, fuel, power, dealer and location

mobile.de has an official Seller-API, but it is for uploading and managing your own ads. It does not search the marketplace. Access goes to dealers who upload their own stock and to software providers who upload for dealers, and you request it by email.

We found no public API that returns search results across all of mobile.de (checked on 27 October 2026). To get the listings themselves, a scraper reads the public search pages you see in the browser.

Official mobile.de API

The mobile.de developer portal documents the Seller-API. It creates, updates and deletes vehicle ads, uploads images and handles direct offers. There is a Swagger sandbox for testing.

The documentation says Seller-API access can be granted to transfer service providers and self-uploading dealers registered with mobile.de. You apply by email to service@team.mobile.de with your mobile.de customer number and company name. For a sandbox account, the email says you want an API user for the sandbox environment. A provider that serves more than ten customers also sends contacts, the software it uses, the target platform, a VAT ID and at least ten customer numbers.

The API only shows sellers that are linked to your API account. A request for any other seller returns HTTP 404. The documentation lists a Search API in the sandbox section, with a link to a separate manual. We did not find a public description of who can use it.

So the Seller-API suits a dealer management system that publishes stock to mobile.de. It does not help someone who wants asking prices for a model across Germany.

mobile.de listings without an API

Our Mobile.de Scraper reads the public search results on mobile.de. You give it a search term, or a make and model, and optional filters for price, year, mileage and seller type. It returns the listings as a spreadsheet or JSON.

The Audi A4 run used this input:

{
    "make": "Audi",
    "model": "A4",
    "minYear": 2018,
    "maxPrice": 30000,
    "maxResults": 50
}

It returned 50 listings in 99 seconds. All 50 were Audi A4, none was registered before 2018 and the highest price was 28,970 EUR. One listing from it:

{
    "make": "Audi",
    "model": "A4",
    "variant": "Avant quattro sport 2.0 * 252 PS * S-Tronic *",
    "price": 24988,
    "currency": "EUR",
    "year": 2018,
    "mileage": 133610,
    "fuelType": "Benzin",
    "power": "185 kW (252 PS)",
    "sellerType": "Dealer",
    "sellerName": "VTG-Musli Automobile",
    "location": "27576 Bremerhaven",
    "listingId": "49252317639392"
}

Ad details

The search page shows a short row per car. Setting fetchDetails to true opens every ad page and adds the fields buyers usually ask for.

{
    "query": "vw golf",
    "maxResults": 20,
    "fetchDetails": true
}

With this input, 20 VW Golf ads took 218 seconds. How often each field came back filled (filled rows / all rows):

Field20 Golf ads with details
Transmission, first registration, seller ID, seller address, fuel detail, damage condition, category, equipment, description, image count, ad created, modified and renewed dates20/20
Exterior colour, dealer rating, dealer rating count19/20
HSN and TSN18/20
Previous owners17/20
VIN, net price, VAT rate1/20

Limits

  • Transmission is empty without fetchDetails. It was empty in all 100 rows of the two search-only runs and filled in all 20 rows of the details run.
  • VIN and net price are rare. The VIN is only there when the seller wrote it into the description. Net price and VAT rate appear on ads from sellers that show them.
  • Details are slower. Each ad is one extra page, which is why 20 rows with details took longer than 50 rows without.
  • Terms of use. Read the mobile.de terms of use before you use the data in a product.

Cost

The actor charges $0.005 per listing plus $0.01 per GB of memory per run. It starts with 4 GB, which is $0.04 per run. 100 listings cost about $0.54 and 1,000 listings about $5.04. A run that returns no listings still pays the run fee.
